Just in time for the end of the Science Year 2023 "Our Universe", the Federal Cabinet has decided that Germany will join the Square Kilometer Array Observatory [1].

Together with André Tschirch (ZEISS Digital Innovation), Christoph Scholze (tragwerk - Die Transformationsarchitekten) and Lutz Pannier from the Görlitzer Sternfreunde e.V., Maria Haupt and Stefan Ohm from the DZA visited the Görlitz observatory.

On November 7, 2023, Christian Stegmann and Stefan Ohm visited the German-Sorbian school complex in Schleife and gave 150 pupils from the 5th to the 10th grade an insight into the universe.

On November 3 and 4, the DZA was represented at the MINT-EC School Principals' Conference in Cottbus with the Particle World Network and TU Dresden with a joint stand.

On November 2, 2023, the DZA team attended DESY Day at the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron in Hamburg. There, the designated founding director of the DZA, Günther Hasinger, was introduced as a new appointment at DESY.

On 07.10.23, the DZA was represented together with the DGB project REVIERWENDE with a joint stand at the Night of Creative Minds in Cottbus.

The German Center for Astrophysics (DZA) and Nikhef (Netherlands) will collaborate in the field of scientific research for the Einstein Telescope.

There was a large crowd at the Dreiseitenhof farm in Cunnewitz on August 30. Citizens from the municipality of Ralbitz-Rosenthal and the neighboring municipalities accepted the DZA's invitation.

After the final depth of 250 meters was reached in the drilling two weeks ago, the drill cores were presented on May 25 in Cunnewitz.

On January 19, we visited the Kahlbaum site together with a team of architects as a possible main location for the DZA.
